Immersive Horsemanship Instruction at Our Place

We’re located near Lake Isabella CA where we have miles of riding trails and modest (rustic) accommodations for 1-2 students and their horses. Students can come to spend 1-3 days to work on horsemanship, trail riding, or to start or restart their horse under Pat’s supervision. The price is $250/day and includes approximately 4 hours of instruction throughout the day, 2 meals, and a place to lay your head.

Host a Clinic

Our horsemanship clinics begin with groundwork and group riding exercises in the morning. Pat works one-on-one with each rider in the afternoon and may ride your horse. Our rate for a one day clinic is $2000 for up to 5 riders plus travel expenses.

In our cattle work clinics, you will learn to sort a given number of cattle out of a corral and move them through a series of obstacles. This is done at a slow pace just like you would want someone to work your cattle. It is suitable for horses and riders who have not been exposed to cattle as well as experienced ranch horses and good hands. Our rate for a one day clinic is $200/person for 10-12 riders or $2000 minimum for the day plus travel expenses.

In our roping clinics, you will learn how to lay cattle down from horseback in one and two person teams. For experienced hands on suitable horses, you can learn to lay cattle down by yourself. Our rate for a one day clinic is $200/person for 10-12 riders or $2000 minimum for the day plus travel expenses.

Cattle fees are additional.

Private Lessons

Lessons can be booked at our place for people who live close by. We also offer lessons after a scheduled clinics time permitting. Our rate is $75/hour at our place and $100/hour on the road.
